Sunday, November 9th - Harvey Park Parents Food Drive
Location: Bear Valley Library - Parking Lot
Time: 2:00am - 4:00pm
*With the recent pause in SNAP benefits, our community is in need. Southwest Denver has over 11,000 individuals who rely on SNAP and approximately half are children. We are hosting a food drive to serve our community on Sunday, November 9th and we need your help! We are asking for donations of non-perishable foods and monetary donations to purchase gift cards.
Saturday, November 15th - Fall Book Swap & Community Meeting
Location: Bear Valley Library
Time: 10:30am - 12:00pm
*What better time to clear out those old books that are collecting dust than right before the holidays.
*Please bring your gently used books to swap for something new . We will be swapping books for all ages but our focus is on childrens' books.
Saturday, December 6th - Cookie Decorating
Location: Bear Valley Library
Time: 2:00PM - 4:00PM
*A fun start to the holiday season that is perfect for children of all ages.
*All supplies will be provided. Just come ready to decorate and enjoy some tasty treats.
Saturday, January 17th - Harvey Park Parents Volunteer Event
Location: Bear Valley Library
Time: 10:30am - 12:30pm
*We will be partnering with Foster Fete to create birthday celebration boxes for children in foster care.

Join our interactive parenting workshops designed to provide you with valuable insights and tips on all aspects of parenting and child development.

Community Playdates
Connect your little ones with new friends by joining our community playdates. It's fun, informal, interactive, and a great way for children to socialize and have fun.

Parents' Book Club
Join our quarterly book club, lead by Pamela Schiess, as we discuss parenting in today's modern culture, what it means to be part of a community, how to handle technology with kids, and more. This quarters book is Hunt, Gather, Parent by Michaeleen Doucleff.
Be SMART
Denver Far Southwest Area Plan
The BeSmart campaign was created in 2015 in an effort to promote responsible gun ownership in order to reduce deaths, injuries, and trauma that can result when a child or teen has access to a gun. BeSmart presented to Harvey Park Parents in summer of 2025 and opened up an incredibly meaningful and important conversation within our group. Check out their website for more information.
